The Boswellia serrata plant is native to India, boswellic acid is derived from the resin of the deciduous trees, its extract was used as traditional medicine for centuries. 

It have been clinically studied for osteoarthritis and joint function, particularly for osteoarthritis of the knee.

3. Improving appetite, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, diarrhea, dysentery, pulmonary disease;

4. Boswellia extract is also used to treat Ulcerative Colitis. In Ayurveda, Boswellia has been used as a treatment for rheumatism, nervous system disorders, and as a topical anti-inflammatory.
