Mango leaf extract extracted from the leaf of Mangifera indica L, have been used in healing practices such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands years. Although the stems, bark, leaves, roots and fruits are also used in traditional medicine, the leaves in particular are believed to help treat diabetes and other health conditions. Mangiferin is the main composition. Mangiferin has the inhibitory effect on central nervous system, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-herpes simplex virus. It has obvious cholinergic and immune functions, and has a protective effect on simulated acute hyperoxia and hypoxia induced liver injury.

Pharmacological experiment has shown that Mangiferin has great performance in treating chronic bronchitis. It is the main active ingredient of Tibetan capillaris in hepatitis treatment and active antiviral component of Anemarrhena Rhizome.

Mangiferin has the effect of antioxidation and delaying caducity;

Mangiferin has effect of hepatinica and choleretic, is used to therapy hepatitis;

Mangiferin has curative effect on chronic bronchitis;
